As of 2023, BackSpace no longer requires masks or proof of vaccination for clients.

All of our massage therapists are fully vaccinated and will wear a mask upon request.

Proof of Vaccination Required for Indoor Massage

In order to keep our entire community safe, we will be requiring proof of vaccination to receive indoor massage.

 

We are also asking you to keep your mask on at all times unless face-down on the table.

 

We are not trying to make a political statement here. We are trying to ensure our safety and your safety so we can continue to stay open and provide great massage.

 

We recommend using https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/ to easily show proof of vaccination.

As of March 9, 2021, all of our therapists are fully vaccinated.

As massage practitioners, your health is of the utmost importance to us. BackSpace is committed to doing everything we can to maintain the best health possible for both ourselves and our clients. This includes taking precautions to avoid the spread of infectious disease.

In accordance with California law, all our practitioners thoroughly wash their hands and arms (up to the elbows) before and after every table massage. When doing chair massage, we are always careful to clean our equipment with disinfectant wipes and ourselves with hand sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol between all sessions.

In addition, we are also implementing new procedures during the pandemic. This include the following:

• Our tables are outfitted with sanitary coverings that can be easily washed or replaced.

• Practitioners will wear masks or face coverings at all times.

• In the event of a cancellation due to illness or concern, BackSpace will completely refund any payment and not charge any cancellation fee.

We further ask the following of you, our clients:

• Currently, we can provide massage indoors or outdoors. If indoors, please provide a safe, well ventilated space where you can be comfortable getting a massage. "Outdoors" may be under a roof, but must be open on at least three sides.

• Please fill out the new screening form to the best if your knowledge at the time of booking.

• Please ensure that everyone else in the household maintains social distancing from the practitioners. We know some of your kids love to give us hugs, but right now we need them to keep their distance!

• For everyone's safety, please provide your own linens. Dedicated massage sheets or twin-sized sheets are ideal, but we can work with what you have. We have a limited number of massage sheet sets available for sale for $50. If you would like a set, please let us know. We will use a standard-sized pillowcase to cover the face cradle in a clean and sanitary way.

• If you think you may get cold, please provide a blanket. We can no longer bring our own, as we cannot guarantee the ability to clean them after every session.

If you are scheduled to receive a massage and are experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness, please contact us immediately. We will be happy to reschedule or cancel your session. We don't want anyone getting sick!
